Mountain Street House Fire - 02/14/2010 On February 14th The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report for smoke in the building to this house on Mountain Street. Once the fire department arrived the source of the smoke was found. A partition fire was located and then quickly extinguished by FD personnel. The Town of Vernon Fire Department and the Ellington Ambulance were requested and assisted at the call. No injuries were reported and the home was turned back over to the owner/occupant that evening.
